When we started solids, we did what most parents do: tried to find a feeding set that looked good, felt reassuring and could handle being used several times a day. What we found was a drawer that kept filling with pieces that stained, held on to strong food smells, became difficult to clean or simply stopped being the ones we reached for.
We did not need more dinnerware. We needed fewer pieces that worked harder.
That is why The Bear Set combines SUS304 stainless steel on the food-contact surfaces with removable, platinum-cured food-grade silicone where softness, grip and suction are genuinely useful. The steel is durable, non-porous and naturally resistant to staining and odour retention. The silicone adds softer edges and child-friendly details. Most importantly, the components separate so every surface can be properly washed.
It is not designed for perfect meals. It is designed to make real ones a little simpler.
A complete 8-piece feeding set
- Divided suction plate — three stainless steel sections with a removable silicone suction base. It holds best on clean, smooth surfaces such as stone, glass and laminate.
- Straw cup — a 200 mL stainless steel cup with easy-grip silicone handles, straw and bear lid.
- Snack bowl with two lids — use it for breakfast, snacks or covered storage in the fridge.
- Spoon and fork — stainless steel utensils sized for small hands learning to feed themselves.
- Spill-pocket bib — adjustable silicone with a wide pocket for the food that does not quite make it.
Choose Oat for a warm neutral or Lavender for a soft touch of colour. Both versions contain the same complete set and are designed for babies and toddlers from approximately 6 months to 5 years, with active adult supervision.
Why stainless steel and silicone work better together
No single material needs to do every job.
Stainless steel makes sense where food sits. It is strong, non-porous and easy to clean, without absorbing the colour or aroma of yesterday’s dinner. Silicone makes sense where little hands need grip, where a plate benefits from suction and where softer contact points make a product more comfortable to use.
By making the components removable, The Bear Set also avoids a common frustration of combined products: food and water becoming difficult to reach between layers. Separate the pieces before washing, allow them to dry fully and assemble them again for the next meal.
Created for independence—without expecting perfection
Learning to eat is a skill. Scooping, gripping, lifting a cup and aiming a spoon all take practice. There will be spills, dropped utensils and days when a carefully prepared meal is rejected on sight.

Is The Bear Set dishwasher safe?
Yes. Separate the stainless steel and silicone pieces first, then place the components in the dishwasher so water can reach every surface.
Does the suction base work on every table?
It grips best on clean, smooth, non-porous surfaces. Texture, crumbs or moisture underneath the base can reduce suction. For the strongest grip, wipe the table and underside of the base before pressing the plate down firmly in the centre.
Can stainless steel toddler dinnerware go in the microwave?
No. Never microwave the plate, bowl, cup, spoon, fork or any assembled component containing stainless steel.
Will stainless steel change the taste or smell of food?
Stainless steel is non-porous and does not absorb food aromas in the way some softer materials can. Wash the pieces after use and separate the silicone and steel components so every surface can be cleaned thoroughly.
Which colour should I choose?
